DA004W, Only different from the M1860 is that hand guard of iron instead of brass. The leather wrapping around the wooden handle was also turned to brown leather instead of black. These are very rare today as the Patton saber was developed after these specimens. This nice clean piece is marked; 1906 & A.S. CO over ordnance bomb, opposite side is marked; US over JC. 35" blade is bright steel, very good used condition, overall 41", no scabbard but retains leather grip grommet, all original, ship weight 4 pounds.
